About Us
Owners: Joyce and Billy Kaminski
After retiring to Rockport from Houston in 1998, we spent our time doing the things retirees do…..fishing, visiting friends and family, fishing, relaxing, fishing…well, you get the idea! I have always loved art and painted for many years, but shortly after moving to Rockport I walked into The Niche and fell in love with glass! The wonderful colors and intricate pieces of stained glass became my passion. In 2006, we purchased The Niche and entered the “art glass world” full time. Billy insisted that he could “never” do stained glass, but would take care of the financial end of the business. He is now an accomplished glass artist, and just as passionate about the medium as I. Together we create beautiful and intriguing works of art in glass.
